In 2020 during the darkness of Covid Quarantine, Rabbi Rob Scheinberg was sharing Traditional Jewish Music and his Personal Piano Re Imaginations of those songs online. He played on a small electronic keyboard but always created a big and emotionally impactful sound.

The 5th night of Chanukah in 2020, I got a notification that there was a "live" performance going on. I tuned in and heard this really fun Re Imagination of Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" coming thru the airwaves.
I immediately dragged it into my Recording Software and started to create a vocal arrangement to fit in the fun. Rob and I emailed back and forth and created an informal Holiday Video "card" for our friends to hear.

This year, I wanted to make it official.
So...(a little too close to Chanukah)
I pulled Rob into the Michael M Browne's Jersey City Studio for a good live Piano take; Hired my great friend Peter Moffitt to lay down some Bass and Drums and used my new Covid Quarantine Productions Skills to Record my Vocals; and to Mix and Master all the Tracks in my Bradley Beach Studio.

Onward to learning the process for how to "release" a Cover in a legal way that makes sure the original writers and publishers get ALL Royalties. I hired #Distrokid to take care of the legalities three days before the first night of Chanukah! Uh oh, they mailed back that it would take 2-3 weeks for Clearances. I created the Artwork in Canva, uploaded the wav file and hoped for the best

A Chanukah Miracle:
Lo and Behold by the Fifth Night of Chanukah (note that the title is Sevivon Take Five) I got a notice that it was already out on Shazam and could be legally shared!! I waited until today (the seventh night) when I received notice that Spotify was now streaming to upload it to Bandcamp to hopefully make it out instantly!)
